Learn to ignore the stat numbers, and build a car following this guide and you will get max performance for that kind of car.. Trust me it works. Parts Guide

Make one setup for t1 muscle car using this guide (lets say... Dodge Challenger) we have Mopar's overall maxed one and we'll test them in ladder competition. Its hard to believe right now because higher overall stats provide more speed. I did more than 5000 runs with my Lotus Elise on Waterfront road and my best time w/o powerups is with overall maxed elise. Here is mine setup: Make better one and we'll see if its working or not. We can make experiment on that, can't we?

I was thinking of trying it on my Challenger or my Corolla. Two cars that I really don't have a lot into.
I happened to be in a group (before I crashed out) last night with bones420 when he mentioned it. He has a pretty hot Cayman (of all things) right now using that tuning guide.
But anyway... Yes by all means experiment with something that you'd like to see improved. The idea as it was put forth to me seems to make as much sense as anything else in this game...lol.
Thanks for posting bones ;D

Yeah my cayman was kinda sluggish in acceleration, even with a 7, 13 engine on it, and i couldn't get it to do tight turns worth a damn.. Even with a 7, 4, 9 suspension.
I had the green 7, 4, 9 suspension the green "tuned" one. I read that the green suspension was tuned for highway racing, keeping the car more stable, but would cause massive understeer.. So i switched to the Red "improved" 4, 7, 9 suspension, which lowered my top speed rating alot, but upped my acceleration a little, and didnt change my handling stat at all.. But now my cayman can turn sharp in high tight corners, and accelerates alot faster than before, even with only a 8 point gain in my acceleration stat.. The car became a little more twitchy, but not bad at all..
Then i had the green pro "sport" tranny, 12. 6. 4 (i think) and i read that the green tranny had longer gears, good for high speed highway driving, and cars with very high top speeds. So i switched to the Red pro "sport" 6, 4, 6 tranny, which has shorter gears and is suppose to help acceleration out of tight turns, even though it lowered my acceleration stat, the car became even faster, and turns even better.. And i lost ALOT on my top speed rating, over 30 points from the stat.. But only lost about 10mph on the cars actual top speed..
So the system does work. My cayman has lower stats, and a lower "overall" rating, but its now much more competitive.. Hell i was beating some of you guys last night while you where driving your 911 GT3's lol.. In a Cayman! lol..
So something tells me alot of cars previously thought to be "crap" might actually be good cars, if tuned properly.. Instead of just throwing the highest stat parts on it as possible, iv noticed doing that will usually screw a cars performance up..
Im really enjoying my Cayman now, its one of my favorite cars to drive. It was the 2nd car i ever got for the game, and its kinda special since i have on one of the body kits from an older version of the game that you cant get anymore..
Im gonna try getting my Gallardo tuned up next..

I won tier 2 ladder competition #1 with this super duper bee Its easy for me to make it even better (like this): But this car is bugged so much, even best pro parts have no overall effect on its performance.
