I'm curious as to what camera view you guys favor in races and pursuits. I personally started off using the outside of the car view, because that's pretty much how I've done it in GRID. I think because coming from the Battlefield series of games, I'll use that view to maneuver around in a tank, APC, or jeep so that I can see whats around me. Then I quickly switch to the gun position when needed. Oddly enough (or maybe not), I only use the cockpit view in the helicopters. This game goes a little too fast (like GRID), for me to comfortably switch between views when I'm racing. So, up until today I've been using the outside view. However; I decided to experiment with the cockpit view today and to be honest... I think I like it better. I'm using the view where you see the hood. It helps me center my car better and the speed seems much more realistic. I've also noticed that the rammers don't seem to bother me as bad. I think that when I encountered them before, I'd overcompensate or panic or something when I would steer out of it. Now... I don't see them (except on the mini-map) so I don't care I guess it takes a bit of the intimidation factor out of it. I haven't tried it in TE yet, but I did take a shot at it in pursuit and it seemed to work for me there as well. How do you guys drive?

My story is pretty much the same as yours bud. Except in pursuits I still use the far camera view so I can see the cops all around me. Hood cam is overall the best view to use when racing and doing TE, like you said, its easier to center your car, its easier to corner and as far as rammers go, they seem to have a harder time pushing you when you're in that view. I'm an SRT8 Super Bee driver in TE, on 2 profiles, and they are both absolute monsters on the TE tracks, you can actually corner at high speeds in hood cam. It helps tthat the accel on both cars is rated around 550 and topspeed is rated over 450 and handling is around 420 on them.

I go with the hood cam.. I have a much higher chance of being rammed in races but I feel it gives me better reaction times and I can make minor counter corrections to my direction that much easier. All in all i feel I can handle the cars much better

Funny you should ask I've been tossing up as well. I have gone the opposite way in preferring the 3rd person view mostly, but Have been trying the Inside car view a bit lately and I think I'm starting to swing that way for racing.

I use hood view mostly now which allowed me to increase my track times The lambo cars do not have a hood so I use outside view for those and the murcie hood/bumber view is too zoomed in and fast for me

i use the "close" camera view. i want to see my car, and that view allows me to see a bit around the car as well, so i see who's trying to overtake me, and from which side. but the main reason for it is still - i want to see how my car looks like. i have spent a lot of time customizing my cars (especially on MZPRX driver), and want to "admire" it constantly. i know, i am a narcissist ;D

I use to use the outside aka bumper view as well for the same reasons, I love to watch my car fishtail, tires smokin, suspension stretching out but, the hood cam view in racing really does change the physics of your car making it a tonne easier to navigate.
